TITLE: FINANCE ASSISTANT
HOURS: Approximately 20 hours/week, as required
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Finance Administrator/Executive Director
RESPONSIBLE TO ASSIST THE FINANCE ADMINISTRATOR & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR WITH THE FOLLOWING:
Records management and accounting systems for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Petty Cash,
Tracking and reconciling booking payments and coordinating with the Guest Services Representative
Prepare bi-weekly payroll
Attend Finance Committee meetings as requested
Process payment for purchases subject to approved budgets
Provide reports to staff members as required
Assist with year end and audit preparation as required
Administrative and other tasks such as filing and general record management
Other duties as may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and experience in general bookkeeping
Three years practical on the job accounts experience
Computer literate in Word, Sage, Payroll Systems, Excel and Outlook, and database software
Ability to work independently
Excellent organization and written communication skills
Ability to assess changing priorities and accommodate flexible hours
