Summer hours will be with the Summer Day Camp

As Head Educator you will be responsible for the day to day supervision of staff and children in the before and after school program. You will be responsible for communicating with the principal and teachers in the school in which your program is located in a professional and cooperative manner. As part of a child care team, you will assist staff in providing a daily program for kindergarten and school age children in a safe, secure environment in accordance with the goals and curriculum plans of the program and the Child Care and Early Years Act. Fulfill all the obligations and responsibilities as outlined in the job description. The hours of work will be determined by enrolment and operational requirements and are subject to change. At Junior or Wilson Centres you will be responsible for following through on classroom routines and duties.
Required Qualifications:
- RECE, Member in good standing, of the College of Early Childhood Educators;
- At least 2 years' experience in a licensed childcare setting preferred
- Have Standard First Aid and CPR.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check
- The successful applicant must receive Director approval from the Ministry of Education.

Pay Rate: as per Collective Agreement CUPE Local 4474, the following wage ranges plus any applicable provincial wage enhancements. Head Educator $24.04-$25.90 and Educator $22.73$24.63
