We are looking for an experienced PSW to join our team for a companion care role. Responsibilities include assisting the client with daily routines, such as reminding him to take his medications, and providing general support. Please note that the client’s dementia is progressing, so experience in dementia care is preferred.

Skills needed:

- Experience with ADLs and personal care
- Experience in dementia care (preferred)
- Compassion and a strong desire to provide excellent care
- Calm, patient, and gentle demeanour
- Excellent communication skills with clients, their families, and the caregiving team
- Professional attitude, reliability, and punctuality
- Ability to follow care plans and document care accurately
- Flexibility and adaptability to client needs and ability to handle challenging situations

For this role, we need someone to cover 4 hours on Friday morning and 4 hours on Saturday morning, starting next weekend. Additional shifts may also be available for the right candidate.

Applicants must have a valid police check, CPR and First Aid certification, and the ability to commute to Arnprior.
