Job Description

The dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the commercial kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen areas. The role supports cooks, chefs, and kitchen staff by ensuring that clean tools and dishware are always available.

Looking for someone for Wednesday's (4 to 7) & Saturday's (12 to 3) : Min 3 hours shift.

Roles & Responsibilities Include:
- Handwash delicate items (pots, pans, glassware, and utensils) as needed.
- Scrape, pre‑rinse, and load dishes, cookware, and utensils into dishwasher
- Ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and dried
- Check for food residues and inspect for damage or breakage
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing area (sinks, floors, counters, walls)
- Clean and sanitize kitchen tools, sinks, floors, walls, carts, and storage areas
- Remove trash/recycling and ensure proper disposal
- Follow health and safety standards, including handling chemicals safely
- Restock clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and other kitchenware to proper stations
- Organize and store items in an orderly manner
- Assist in unpacking deliveries of kitchenware or supplies
- Monitor inventory of dishwashing supplies (soap, rinse aid, cleaning chemicals) and inform management when low
- Assist cooks or other kitchen staff as needed (e.g. food prep, moving items)
- Help with general labor tasks in kitchen (e.g. sweeping, mopping)
- Adhere to food safety, health, and sanitation regulations (e.g., local health codes)
- Use personal protective equipment (gloves, aprons)
- Maintain proper chemical handling and storage
- Report hazards, spills, or equipment issues to supervisor immediately
