Part-Time Personal Support Worker (PSW)
Retirement Home – Independent Living
We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Part-Time Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team in a friendly and supportive independent living retirement community.
Position Summary:
As a PSW, you will provide assistance to residents with daily living activities while promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life in a safe and respectful environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist residents with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming as needed)
• Provide support with mobility and transfers
• Monitor and report any changes in residents’ condition
• Support residents with activities of daily living while encouraging independence
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication with team members
• Provide companionship and emotional support
Qualifications:
• PSW Certificate from a recognized program
• Previous experience in a retirement or healthcare setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (preferred)
• Police Vulnerable Sector Check required
Schedule:
• Part-time hours (including evenings and/or weekends as required)
