Job Description

ACCOUNTING AND HR ADMINISTRATOR

The Accounting & HR Administrator supports daily financial operations and provides human resources administrative support for a team of approximately 50 employees. This role requires a high level of accuracy, discretion, and organization, with the ability to work independently while taking direction from the Controller.

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following
Accounting & Finance
• Count, verify, and reconcile daily cash receipts and payments
• Prepare and balance bank deposits
• Record journal entries in QuickBooks
• Process and enter accounts payable invoices
• Reconcile corporate credit card statements, ensuring all transactions are supported by receipts and expense reports
• Maintain accurate financial records and organized supporting documentation
• Assist the Controller with financial reporting, payroll, and related tasks as assigned
Human Resources
• Coordinate onboarding for new hires, including documentation and orientation support
• Post open job positions on appropriate platforms
• Schedule interviews and coordinate recruitment logistics for department managers
• Respond to employee HR-related inquiries in a professional and timely manner
• Schedule and lead Health & Safety Committee meetings
• Maintain employee files and ensure documentation is current and compliant

Qualifications & Skills
• Experience with bookkeeping and QuickBooks required
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to take direction and execute tasks as assigned by the Controller
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

Work Schedule
• Monday to Friday
• 8:00am – 3:00pm (flexible start/finish time for the right candidate)

Hourly Rate
$22 - $26
