Job Description

Leaps & Bounds Children’s Centre is a licensed, non-profit child care centre with 3 locations in Arnprior and
Renfrew. The St Joseph’s location is based out of St Joseph’s Catholic School on John Street N. We offer
Kindergarten and School Aged Programs.

We require 1 Permanent RECE in our kindergarten program. Anticipated for early August 2026. The
exact start date is flexible and will be confirmed based on the transition of the current staff member to their new position. The position offers 30 hours per week on instructional (school) days and 40 hours per week on noninstructional days.

The rate of pay is $28.00 per hour for qualified candidates (inclusive of all wage grants for qualifying hours)
plus 4% holiday pay.

This posting is for an already existing position which will open up and it requires:
Requirements:
• Registered with the College of ECE (or in progress if a recent graduate of the ECE Program)
• Experience with young children
• Current Standard First Aid / CPR C
• Current Criminal Reference Check for the Vulnerable Sector
• Proof of up to date immunizations and ability to get note from a medical practitioner indicating good health
• WHMIS, AODA, CCEYA certificates (we can help a successful candidate secure these certificates)
Recommended:
• Knowledge of CCEYA and HDLH
Considered an Asset:
• Experience with children in a licensed childcare centre
• Experience with children with special needs
• Child centered educational background (RECE, DSW, etc)
