Resource Staff – Kinder & School Age Programs

Leaps & Bounds Children’s Centre is a licensed, non-profit child care centre with three locations in Arnprior and Renfrew. Our Arnprior A.J. location operates out of A.J. Charbonneau Public School on Baskin Drive and offers Toddler, Preschool, Kindergarten and School Age programs.

We are currently hiring Contract Resource Staff for our Kinder and School Age Programs.

Start Date: September 14, 2026
Location: A.J. Charbonneau Public School, Arnprior
Rate of Pay: $23.65/hour + 4% vacation pay

Available Positions

Kinder Resource Staff

• 1 position – Monday to Friday
7:00–9:00 AM and 3:30–5:30 PM
Experience supporting children with complex needs required.
Approximately 5 hours/day on PA Days, March Break and other full-day program days.

• 1 position – Wednesday to Friday
7:00–9:00 AM and 3:30–5:30 PM
Experience supporting children with complex needs required.
Approximately 8 hours/day on PA Days, March Break and other full-day program days.

• 1 position – Monday to Friday
7:00–9:00 AM and 3:30–5:30 PM
Hours increase to approximately 7 hours/day on PA Days, March Break and other full-day program days.

School Age Resource Staff

• 1 position – Monday to Friday
7:00–9:00 AM and 3:30–5:30 PM
Hours increase to approximately 7 hours/day on PA Days, March Break and other full-day program days.

• 1 position – Thursday and Friday
7:00–9:00 AM and 3:30–5:30 PM
Hours increase to approximately 7 hours/day on PA Days, March Break and other applicable full-day program days.

Requirements

Successful candidates must have:

• Experience working with children between 4 and 12 years of age
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification
• Current Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
• Proof of up-to-date immunizations
• Ability to obtain a letter of good health from a healthcare practitioner
• WHMIS, AODA and CCEYA certificates

Leaps & Bounds can assist successful candidates in obtaining the required WHMIS, AODA and CCEYA certificates.

Recommended

• Knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA)
• Knowledge of How Does Learning Happen? (HDLH)

Considered an Asset

• Experience working in a licensed child care centre
• Experience supporting children within an inclusive environment
• Child-focused educational background such as RECE, DSW or a related field
• Experience supporting children with medical, behavioural, developmental or complex needs
