Retail Staff – Prepared Meals

Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused team member to help operate our prepared-meals retail space. The ideal candidate will take pride in providing excellent customer service while handling food products carefully and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming store.

Key Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, helpful service.
Assist customers in selecting prepared meals and answer basic questions about products.
Retrieve prepared meals from refrigerators and freezers for customers.
Carefully handle, package, and organize frozen and refrigerated food products.
Help customers carry their meals to their vehicle when needed.
Heat and serve items such as pizza slices, calzones, and other prepared foods according to established procedures.
Ensure heated food is served safely and presented properly.
Operate the cash register/POS system and process customer payments accurately.
Restock refrigerators, freezers, and retail displays as needed.
Check product labels, dates, and packaging and report any damaged or expired products.
Maintain cleanliness of food preparation, serving, and customer areas.
Follow all food-safety, hygiene, and handling procedures.
Assist with opening and closing duties.
Work as part of a team and help with other day-to-day retail duties as required.

Previous retail, food-service, or customer-service experience is an asset, but training will be provided.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry prepared meal bags, boxes, and food products.
Comfortable working in refrigerated/freezer areas when required.
Ability to safely handle hot food and equipment.
