Job Description

About Us:
Serving Ottawa and the Valley since 1946, Scheels is a well-established retailer with a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction. We serve both residential and commercial customers and offer sales and installation of major appliances, electronics, security products, and furniture. Our location includes an in-store butcher shop and we provide delivery and installation services throughout the Ottawa Valley and parts of Quebec.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated, reliable Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced retail setting. This is a day shift position, including every second Saturday as part of a regular schedule.

Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly, helpful service to all customers
- Assist with lifting/loading products into customer vehicles
- Support customers in selecting suitable products
- Use computer systems to look up inventory, availability, and order parts
- Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable showroom and workspace
- Answer phones, return messages, and respond to online/email inquiries promptly
- Prepare and provide quotes, product information, and spec sheets
- Collect payments and process orders
- Assist with monthly pricing updates and accurate tag creation
- Attend occasional training sessions (in-person and online)

Qualifications:
- Positive, can-do attitude and strong communication skills
- Well-organized and responsive to customer needs
- Physically able to lift and assist with product loading
- Comfortable using computers and learning internal systems
- Previous retail experience is an asset but not required (training provided)

Schedule:
- Day shifts only (8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM)
- Every second Saturday required
