Job Description

Canton’s Mindful Gardens is hiring full-time seasonal Horticultural Technicians and aspiring gardeners for the 2026 season.

Canton’s Mindful Gardens Offers:
o Opportunities to grow and advance your career through Apprenticeship.
o Excellent team environment with supportive management.
o 35-45 hours per week. April to November.
Requirements:
Entry level and experienced horticulture technicians wanted:
o Ability to communicate politely, professionally, effectively with clients, staff
and suppliers/partners.
o Excellent skills, and experience in all aspects of seasonal garden,
maintenance, softscape installations and lawn maintenance:
§ Plant knowledge is an asset.
§ Weeding, cultivating, edging, pruning, deadheading.
§ Planting: Perennials, annuals, shrubs, trees, bulbs.
§ Soil amending, mulching, spring and fall cleanups.
§ Enjoy working outdoors in all weather.
§ Weekly lawn cutting and trimming.
§ Attention to detail and quality conscious.
§ Be physically strong (lift min. 50 lbs) and a quick learner.
§ Class G license with a clean abstract and independent transportation.
§ Knowledge of landscape products, power and hand tools,
Responsibilities:
o Maintain residential and commercial properties to CNLA standards,
(horticulture technicians).
o Demonstrate leadership skills required to run the worksite efficiently,
(horticulture technicians)
o Prioritize Workplace Safety.
o Manage/organize job sites: crew, safety, equipment and materials,
(horticulture technicians).
o Communicate with management on job status, change orders.
(horticulture technicians).
o Supervision of crew members, including training. (horticulture technicians).
o Daily submission of timesheets and job-related documentation including
receipts, work orders, and change orders, (horticulture technicians).
o Participate in the building of a company culture that is compassionate,
respectful, inclusive, and motivated to provide the highest level of service
and, to internal and external clients.
Job Type: Full-time Seasonal. Wages: to be confirmed on experience,
starting at $22.00/hr.
