Tour Coordinator
Ottawa Valley Air Paddle (OVAP)
Full-time Seasonal Contract

Do you live for the details that turn a good trip into an unforgettable one? If you’re a logistics pro who loves a solid checklist and knows how to keep a team inspired on land and water, we want you at the helm.

This role is the heartbeat of our operations, blending meticulous planning with the energy of our award-winning guided tours. If you’re ready to keep our 'show on the road' (and the water), let’s talk.

Why You'll Love Working With Us:
1. Work outdoors regularly at launch sites while supporting unique guided experiences
2. Spend your working hours ensuring our guests have unforgettable experiences on the water, while building your resume with Professional operational management skills.
3. Receive competitive compensation, with an attractive performance incentive plan.
4. Be part of a close-knit team that values adventure, guest experience, and learning by doing.
5. Play a central role in executing our signature Light at Night glow tours and Kaleidoscope Kayaking events.

Your Role:

As the Tours Coordinator, you are the operational heartbeat of our summer tours season. While our guides focus on leading guests on the water, you ensure the experience is seamless from initial sign-up to days after the event.

You will be the person who keeps the daily operation running smoothly. You will plan and publish schedules, confirm coverage, coordinate equipment readiness, communicate with guests before and after the event, and support guides so they can focus on delivering a safe and memorable guest experience.

Who We're Looking For:
1. Has a genuine love for the outdoors and organizational excellence.
2. Strong communicator who can confidently lead and keep a team aligned.
3. Organized, reliable, and proactive, with great follow-through.
4. Calm under pressure, especially when conditions change quickly.
5. Guest-focused, with a natural ability to support and reassure people.
6. Enjoys working with people and excels in a fast-paced customer service environment.

Qualifications:
1. Experience in customer-facing operations, events, or team coordination.
2. Experience coordinating staff schedules or shift coverage in a service, retail, outdoor, or events setting
3. Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
4. Must be friendly and outgoing and have strong communication skills.
5. Comfort working evenings and weekends during the operating season.
6. Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors for extended periods
7. Ability to stay organized with checklists, logs, and simple reporting
8. Experience with kayaks or outdoor gear is an asset but not required.

How to Apply:

Ready to jump in? Send your resume and a brief cover letter telling us about a time you kept a plan on track when conditions changed. We would love to hear how you approach teamwork, organization, and guest experience.

We offer competitive pay, employee benefits, plus a performance incentive plan and the opportunity to work in a fun and dynamic environment with other like-minded individuals. We take pride in our team’s accomplishments and offer opportunities for further training and career development.

Don’t miss the boat! Send your resume and cover letter to [email protected] and tell us about your favourite paddling adventure.
