Job Description

Complete Systems Installation Ltd. (CSI) is seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Work Foreman to join our team on projects across Canada. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in the field, leads by example, and takes pride in getting the job done right the first time. If you enjoy travel, teamwork, and guiding crews through complex construction work, this role may be for you.

Who We’re Looking For
• Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work independently or with a small team
• Able to work in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments
• Valid G-class driver’s license with a clean abstract
• Able to pass a criminal record check
• Candidates must be 25 years and older for insurance purposes.

Key Responsibilities

Supervision & Leadership
• Direct daily site activities, assign tasks, and oversee crew performance.
• Lead by example by working alongside the crew and demonstrating proper techniques.
• Ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.

Planning & Preparation
• Participate in project planning, including pull planning and look-ahead schedules.
• Ensure crews are fully prepared with required tools, equipment, materials, and clear direction before work begins.

Safety & Quality Control
• Enforce all safety protocols and company policies.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.
• Proactively address safety concerns and quality issues on site.

Communication
• Act as a key liaison between site management/superintendents and field crews.
• Communicate daily objectives, changes, and expectations clearly.
• Provide feedback from the field to management to support continuous improvement.

Problem Solving
• Identify and remove roadblocks that could impact productivity or timelines.
• Resolve on-site challenges quickly to prevent delays or costly rework.
• Ensure work is done correctly the first time.

Essential Skills & Traits
• Extensive knowledge of construction trades (carpentry, concrete, and related disciplines).
• Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and mentoring abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, field-based environment.

Role in the Project Hierarchy
• Sits between site managers/superintendents and general labourers.
• Provides ground-level execution and oversight of daily work.
• On larger projects, may oversee multiple foremen (General Foreman role).

Qualifications
• Previous experience in a foreman or lead-hand role preferred.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Canada.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company insurance requirements.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Fast-paced, field-based environment.
• Physically demanding: bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting.
• Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
