Job Description

Ponds and Aquaria is an established landscape and maintenance company specializing in the construction, installation and maintenance of all forms of water gardens, ponds, and water features. We offer our services to both residential and commercial clients in and around Ottawa and Eastern Ontario region. Our operation, located west of the city of Ottawa, is based in the village of Kinburn.

We are currently looking for dependable, hard-working individuals with a strong work ethic and a passion for landscaping to join our collaborative and positive team as General Laborers for the 2026 season.
Job Description
You will assist our Pond Installation and Maintenance crews with spring pond maintenance, new pond installation projects, existing pond refurbishments and restoration, and general landscaping projects. No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to work hard, learn on the job, and enjoy the outdoors. This is a perfect opportunity to earn good pay while contributing to a greener community.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with water garden maintenance, working in a wet environment, use of pressure washers and discharge pumps, removal of waste materials. Assist with installation of water features including digging ponds, laying and installing pond and water feature specific equipment, lifting and moving heavy materials, rock and stone. operating equipment, and maintaining safe and clean work areas. Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at job sites. Perform basic maintenance on tools and machinery with guidance. Follow safety guidelines and crew leader instructions for a safe, efficient workplace. Assist with site cleanup and preparation for projects.
Requirements
You are enthusiastic, self motivated, punctual, and have a positive work ethic.
You are expected to work under supervision in a cooperative, team-oriented environment with the ability to adapt to the quick paced, physical demands, in an outdoor environment in various weather conditions.
Valid “G” drivers’ License with a clean driver abstract required. Ability to drive and navigate larger vehicles beneficial.

We offer
Full-time seasonal position: Approximately 40 -50 hours per week, Monday – Friday (some occasional weekend work) with immediate start through to early November.
Reports to: Designated senior technician
This position offers room for advancement with future opportunities in crew leadership and project management for those who demonstrate initiative, reliability, and a passion for horticulture.
