Job Description

R&M Truck & Trailer Repairs is proudly a Contract Navistar International® Dealer in Arnprior, Ontario. Locally-owned and operated for over 30 years now. We are a busy and growing truck and trailer repair facility. Currently looking for a dedicated individual with customer service experience to join our parts team.

POSITION TYPE: Parts Counter Clerk, Full Time, 44 Hours per Week
HOURS: Monday to Thursday from 7am-5pm and Friday 7am-4pm, No weekends!
COMPENSATION: To be determined, based on Experience and Productivity

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Report directly to the Parts Manager
-Determine and locate parts needed for our service department
-Provide efficient customer service by responding to parts inquiries in person, over email or telephone communication
-Help customers and technicians find the right parts/tools/accessories quickly
-Build strong relationships with customers and repeat clients
-Process and receive orders, exchanges, refunds, or payments
-Carry out the proper handling and storage of parts
-Use a computer software program to track inventory and stock levels
-Work closely with the Service Manager to generate estimates in a timely manner
-Help to keep the parts department clean, tidy and accessible
-Occasionally deliver or ship out purchases to customers

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
-Previous experience in a parts or inventory-related role in the automotive industry is preferred
-Valid Driver's License
-High School Diploma

PREFERRED SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
-Efficient with computers and technology
-Strong communication and time management
-Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests at once
-Able to lift heavy items over 50+ lbs
-Attentiveness and aptitude for sales
-Team player, while also being able to work individually
