We are looking for a skilled Quality Control (QC) Inspector to join our energetic team. In this role, you will be responsible for examining products and equipment to ensure that product manufactured conforms to acceptance criterion defined and quality standards applicable. As a Quality Control (QC) Inspector at METALIGNA, your Key Responsibilities include:
•Carry out various inspections required to manufacture products, including Incoming Quality Control (IQC), In Process Quality Control (IPQC) and Outgoing Quality Control (OQC).
•Carry out the required tests and verifications related to the receipt of goods and test the raw material's compatibility, including all required tests.
•Inspect and verify tooling and products at various stages of production with operators to ensure compliance to quality requirements; read and operate measuring instruments and verify the instruments are fit for intended use.
•Acquire data using the IT management system, perform specific administrative and technical tasks of the department; maintain quality assurance control records.
•Audit / Verify the compliance of subcontracted operations.
•Ensure compliance with established methods or processes, identify, diagnose and follow-up on nonconformities (NCRs) related to production issues.
•Collaborate in the tests and follow-up of prototypes with Engineering, Quality and Production teams; notify supervisors or engineering of production issues as per department directives.
•Inspect finished products to ensure that they meet the customer and MetaLigna Modular Inc.’s requirements.
•Verify all records - as per the job brief - before shipment and approve shipment after verification.
•Ensure all Safety Rules and Regulations are followed at all times.
•Attend various departmental meetings.
•Operate equipment in a safe manner, including to immediately report any equipment malfunction.
•Provide technical support to employees.
•Carry out this work, or any other task related to the position, according to the instructions of the supervisor or other person in authority.
Skills & Qualifications:
•Education: Secondary School graduate, post-secondary education preferred.
•Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing environment preferably heavy industrial or construction manufacturing. Ability to read blueprints is a must.
•Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
•Skills: Strong analytical and organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
•Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and liaise effectively with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
•Language: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are a must; the same skills in French are an asset.
•Other: Capable of standing for long periods of time. Able to use a variety of tools and perform physical work.
Work Location: Arnprior, ON
Typical Work Schedule: 7:00am to 3:30pm
Starting Hourly Wage: $24.50 per hour
Other Compensation: Standard 2-week vacation; eligibility to enrol in Company’s group benefits plan after 6 months of full-time employment
