We are looking for Panel Manufacturers to join our team!
In this role, you will be working under the general direction of a Lead Hand in a large manufacturing
facility. To ensure success in this role, you must possess the ability to follow instructions and seek
clarification if ever/ whenever needed.
The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, will be able to work alongside other employees to problem
solve and deliver exceptional results. Working with little supervision while following all health and safety
standards is essential. Regular, predictable, attendance per the schedule is an essential function of this
role; must be punctual and trustworthy.
As Panel Manufacturer at METALIGNA, your Key Responsibilities include:
* Preparation of required materials for assembly processes,
* Reading blueprints and drawings to determine methods of installation and work procedures with
appropriate material and tool requirements
* Framing structural and interior walls,
* Installing drywall/sheathing and weather barrier,
* Organizing and preparing finished product for shipping,
* Labour related to manufacturing of volumetric products such as park models or modular homes (interior
carpentry and finishing work, millwork install, flooring preparation/ installation, door & window installation,
roofing and exterior siding);
* Reporting issues for quality control purposes when reviewing all incoming & outgoing product,
* Operating within standard operating procedures (SOPs),
* Cleaning and maintaining a safe working area, ensuring that Health and Safety processes and
procedures are met.
* Any other tasks that may be assigned as needed by the company; deemed appropriate and reasonable
for the job position
Skills and Qualifications:
* Framing experience (light gauge steel experience preferred, but not required);
* Warehouse experience is an asset;
* Some experience with warehouse equipment (crane, overhead crane, forklift, etc.) and power tools is
preferred;
* Willingness to work a flexible schedule - as needed - for project completion;
* Ability to carry and lift up to 80 lbs.;
* Ability to stand for 8 hours or more a day;
* Safe operation of manual and power tools;
* General cleaning of the facility;
* Willingness to learn;
* Ability to be a team player;
* Possession of reliable transportation.
Work Location:
Arnprior, ON
Typical Work Schedule: 7:00am to 3:30pm
Starting Hourly Wage: $21.00 per hour
Other Compensation: Standard 2-week vacation; eligibility to enrol in Company’s group benefits plan
after 6 months of full-time employment
