Lanark County Support Services Perth Agency is hiring two (2) temporary Direct Support
Professional’s in the capacity of Support Worker to support individuals to access community
supports and services.
The first position a six (6) month part-time Support Worker contract starting August 31, 2026
with a possibility of extension. This position is for a minimum of 18 hours per week, Tuesday,
Thursday & Friday, 9am to 3pm, with the flexibility to work Monday & Wednesday if needed.
The second position is a part-time Support Worker position for 15-18 hours a week (2.5
days/week), starting August 31, 2026 until March 31, 2027 with possibility of renewal.
These hours are directly funded by the individuals and are subject to change.

Education:
Must have a minimum of a Grade 12 education with experience working with individuals with
developmental disabilities.
Operational Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older, have or be willing to train in First Aid, CPR, NCI, WHIMIS
and other training specific to the individual.
Must have a Valid class G Driver's license, access to a vehicle, ability to work throughout Lanark
County and a criminal reference check for the vulnerable sector.
Applicants must have completed a minimum of 2 doses of a COVID-19 vaccination to be
eligible for employment.
Experience:
Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, including non-verbal
individuals, providng personal care, personal hygiene assistance, and feeding tube experience is
an asset. Experience in collaboration with support networks and working with families in the
planning and delivery of supports.
