Job Description

Solid Move Concrete is looking for an experienced Concrete Form Setter to join our team.

We are seeking someone with hands-on experience in residential concrete forming who can confidently work as part of a crew with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of concrete forming, layout and construction practices and take pride in producing accurate, quality work.

Previous concrete forming experience is required for this position.

Responsibilities
-Set, build and strip concrete forms for footings and foundation walls
-Lay out foundations according to plans and specifications
-Accurately measure, level, square and align forms
-Install and secure formwork, bracing and related components
-Assist with concrete pours and ensure forms remain properly aligned during placement
-Read and understand construction drawings, measurements and elevations
-Identify and address forming or layout issues before concrete placement
-Safely use hand tools, power tools and construction equipment
-Maintain an organized and safe job site
-Work efficiently with foremen, labourers and other crew members
-Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures

Qualifications & Requirements
-Previous concrete form-setting experience is required
-Strong knowledge of footing and foundation wall forming
-Ability to accurately use a tape measure, level and other layout tools
-Ability to read and understand construction drawings
-Able to work independently and as part of a crew
-Strong attention to detail and workmanship
-Dependable, punctual and able to work in a fast-paced construction environment
-Physically capable of lifting and handling forms, lumber and construction materials
-Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
-Must have reliable transportation to and from job sites

Required Tools & PPE
Applicants are expected to have their own basic tools and PPE, including:
-Hammer
-Tape measure
-Tool belt
-CSA-approved work boots
