| Job Description | The Seniors Active Living Centre (SALC - Arnprior Regional Health) established a large seniors community vegetable garden in the spring of 2020 as a means of ensuring that rural, low-income and vulnerable seniors remain safe, active and engaged with fresh food readily available. Working in partnership with the Galilee Centre, the SALC Community Gardens are located on a 35 acre property that boasts plenty of outdoor space for events and gatherings. The Outdoor Garden Assistant’s primary role is to provide assistance to the SALC Program Coordinator. The Outdoor Garden Assistant will assist in maintaining the senior vegetable gardens at Galilee, the lawn and garden area at the SALC as well as the flower beds at The Grove Nursing Home. |
