About Us
Rideau Ferry Country Home is a well-established retirement home committed to providing high-quality care and a supportive, respectful environment for our residents. We are seeking an experienced and dependable professional to join our leadership team as a second-in-command, supporting the day-to-day operations of the home.

Position Overview
The Assistant Director serves as the primary support to the General Manager and plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the residence. This position requires a hands-on leader who is highly organized, proactive, and capable of stepping in to oversee operations in the absence of the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Provide care to residents and update care needs where required
Support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations of the retirement home
Act as the second-in-command and assume leadership responsibilities as required
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures (e.g., RHRA, Public Health)
Assist with resident relations, including addressing concerns and maintaining high satisfaction
Support administrative functions when needed
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience in retirement home, long-term care, or healthcare operations
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities

Mandatory Requirements:

Must be able to reliably commute to the residence location
Must be willing and able to complete all required training and onboarding, both initially and on an ongoing basis, as required
