OVERVIEW

McGrimmon Corporation is looking for a Field Service Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic. This individual will have their own service truck and will be responsibly for servicing our Heavy-Duty Equipment at our job sites throughout the Ottawa Valley and the Pontiac Area. Heavy Equipment Mechanic repairs and maintains heavy duty equipment; responsible for diagnosis, repairs, assembles and disassembles on large equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inspecting heavy construction equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, in the shop and in the field
Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required
Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems using hand and power tools
Testing repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers’ specifications
Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment
Individual will have their own Service Truck and must be willing to drive to any of our job sites at any time during their set working hours
REQUIREMENTS:

421A Technician
Experience is ideal, but not necessary
Passionate about working on heavy equipment
Clean abstract required
Mechanically inclined
Preferred if individuals have their Own Tools
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
