Job Description

Floor Associates at our store are responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting with product inquiries, and ensuring the store is well merchandised and organized. Daily operations will include working from the Lumber Desk, assisting customers with lumber, tools, and plumbing needs, stocking and organizing merchandise, and supporting customers in finding the right products for their projects.

Core Competencies

• Previous retail, customer service, or lumber/tool/plumbing knowledge an asset; willing to train
• Strong customer service skills with a professional, positive attitude
• Physically fit and able to lift/move up to 50 lbs
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, dependable, and punctual
• Steel-toed boots required
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as part of a full-time schedule

Job Responsibilities
• Assist customers at the Lumber Desk with product knowledge and recommendations
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience
• Merchandise and stock shelves to maintain a clean, organized sales floor
• Assist with lumber, tools, plumbing, and other building materials product inquiries
• Work with team members to meet store goals and maintain smooth daily operations
• Perform administrative tasks related to sales and product orders as required
• Follow safety procedures and ensure proper handling of materials and equipment
• Other related responsibilities as directed by supervisor

Additional Information:
• Full-time position with evening and weekend availability required
• Steel-toed boots are mandatory for safety compliance
• Wage: TBD
