Job Description

Job Summary:
The Apprentice Automotive Technician supports licensed technicians in performing vehicle maintenance, repairs, and inspections. This role involves hands-on learning, following safety procedures, and developing technical skills through supervised work and formal training.

Key Responsibilities:
● Perform Seasonal tire changes, lube service and maintenance services
● Perform Standard Vehicle repairs – Tasks such as servicing brake pads and rotors, exhaust repairs, replacing vehicle fluids, and replacing car batteries.
● Following company-created checklists to inspect and test vehicles.
● Learn how to repair vehicles through formal training sessions and hands-on work tasks supervised by automotive technicians.
● Apprentices perform (PDI) Pre-Delivery Inspections on new and used vehicles. Follow a company-created checklist to inspect and test vehicles.
● Disconnect batteries inside vehicles and hook them up to an in-shop testing device to determine their functionality.
● Take apart car and truck engines, as well as other parts of the vehicle, such as sidewall panels and floorboards.
● Inspect vehicles – recommend parts and servicing requirements.
● Responsible for performing light custodial tasks to keep workshop clean and well organized.
● Make sure customer vehicles are to be left clean and presentable.
