Weigh Scale Clerk

Are you a self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment? Tackaberry Construction is a local family run business, serving eastern Ontario (Leeds & Grenville, Lanark, Frontenac County) since 1957. We have three main locations, an asphalt plant, and numerous pits and quarries.

We currently have an opening for a Temporary Weigh Scale Clerk at our Perth location, Tackaberry Sand & Stone 16129 Highway 7, Perth Ontario. This will be a temporary seasonal position to provide coverage during a leave of absence.

Pay: CA$22.00-CA$23.00 per hour

Primary Responsibilities:
• Weighing inbound and outbound tucks
• Enter appropriate data into computer to print tickets showing the customer’s truck weight
• Radio communication with truck drivers and loader operators to ensure proper material and weights are loaded on customer trucks
• Answer phones and assist with walk in customers
• Additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, both oral and written
• Highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
• Safety oriented
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
• Superior accuracy and analytical skills
• Valid driver’s license
