Current BGIS Opportunities – Perth / Smiths Falls
Cleaner – Banks & Commercial Sites
• Locations: Beckwith St (Smiths Falls) and Dufferin St (Perth)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, after 5:00 pm
• Hours: Approximately 25–30 hours per week
• Wage: $19.00/hour
Cleaner – Hydro Site (Smiths Falls)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, after 5:00 pm
• Hours: 15–20 hours per week
• Wage: $19.00/hour
Role Overview
These roles involve general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, washroom cleaning, and garbage handling. BGIS provides training and is open to candidates with little to no prior cleaning experience.

Clearance & Exemptions (Important to Note)
BGIS has an exemption process for candidates with a criminal record that is reviewed on a case by case basis:
• Government related sites: Convictions not related to violence or anti police may be eligible for consideration.
• Banks and Hydro sites: Exemptions can be more restrictive, and, in some cases, a pardon may be required.
Each situation is assessed individually based on the nature, severity, and timing of the offence.
