Position Details
- Full-time positions
- Saturdays required (we are closed Sundays & Mondays)
- Commission-based pay: 35% of each dog to the employee, with potential to earn up to 50% per dog based on experience
- Friendly, professional, drama-free environment

Key Responsibilities
- Perform full grooming services, including bathing, brushing, drying, clipping, scissoring, de-shedding, and breed-specific cuts
- Groom dogs of all sizes, breeds, coats, clips, and patterns
- Ensure safe and compassionate handling of pets, understanding behavior cues and stress signals
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary grooming area
- Uphold Spaw Bar’s commitment to high-quality grooms and exceptional customer service
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding grooming needs, coat health, and service recommendations

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2.5 years of professional, full-time grooming experience
- Strong scissoring and clippering skills
- Ability to produce consistent, high-quality grooms with attention to detail
- Comfortable grooming all breeds and sizes
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Understanding of safe handling techniques and pet behavior
- Must supply your own grooming tools
- Portfolio and resume required

Asset Skills (Not Required but Preferred)
- Hand stripping
- Cat grooming
- Professional grooming certification(s)

Physical Requirements
- This role involves:
- Standing for extended periods
- Bending, reaching, and repetitive movements
- Lifting dogs of various sizes (up to safe weight limits)
