We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team!
W. Gillan Farms is a robotic dairy operation located in Pakenham, just west of Ottawa. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to assist with daily farm operations.
Responsibilities include:
Cleaning and maintaining milking robots
Tidying stalls and crosswalks
Fetching cows
Assisting with general cow and calf care
Other responsibilities appropriate to your skillset
Ideal candidate:
Calm and patient with animals
Strong attention to detail
Good communication skills
Able to work independently and with others
This role involves physical labour, including lifting and bending
Has a valid drivers license and own transportation
Experience working with dairy cows and operating a skid steer is considered an asset, but not required.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday: 6:00–11:00 AM and 3:00–5:30 PM
Every other weekend: 6:00–8:30 AM and 3:00–5:30 PM
