Job Description

EVA – Renfrew County is a committee of dedicated service providers and community members working to end gender-based violence and improve the lives of people living in Renfrew County by making it a safe place to live and work. EVA-Renfrew County focuses on prevention, education, systemic change, networking, and service provision related to all forms of gender-based violence throughout Renfrew County.
Summary of Key Functions of this Role:
● Support networking and linkages between organizations working on ending gender-based
violence,
● Attendance at weekday in person meetings, representating EVA at virtual weekday meetings, some weekday/evening events throughout the year,
● Provide administrative support to EVA- Renfrew County and its sub-committees through agenda development and distribution,
● Strengthen partnerships among gender-based violence service providers and cross sector services in Renfrew County,
● Coordinate Events, and take the lead as needed,
● Communicate and consult on a regular basis with the EVA Co-Chairs and members of the Administrative Sub-Committee through email, reports, budget review
and meetings,
● Enhance community knowledge of Renfrew County gender-based violence services and
how to access services.

Qualifications and Skills Required:
● Thorough knowledge of anti-racist, anti-oppression, feminist framework of gender-based violence including sexual violence and intimate partner abuse,
● Thorough knowledge of the aims, philosophy and goals of EVA and a demonstrated commitment to these issues,
● Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to respectfully engage survivors, community members and the media,
● E-technology, website, internet and computer software proficiency,
● Self-directed and ability to work independently,
● Bilingualism an asset, and
● Valid Driver's license and access to a vehicle.
