Permanent Outreach/Transitional Support Caseworker
Renfrew County (Arnprior, Renfrew)

Reporting to the Outreach Supervisor, the Outreach/Transitional Support Caseworker provides direct service to women who have experienced abuse.

Responsibilities of this position:
• Education and support regarding Intimate Partner Violence
• Crisis intervention
• Safety planning
• Client advocacy
• Group facilitation

Required qualifications include:
• Graduate of a post-secondary program in social sciences or related field
• Thorough understanding of the issue of violence against women, and the impact on child witnesses
• Excellent documentation skills and knowledge of community agencies and resources
• Proven ability to work cooperatively and effectively both as a team member and independently
• Valid driver’s license and access to a car
• Bilingualism an asset
