Valley Steel is a family-owned Steel Fabrication, Welding, and Machine Shop located in the Ottawa Valley. We supply a wide range of fabricated products and provide welding and machining services for various industrial sectors

We are looking for a skilled machinist, knowledgeable in both CNC and manual machining. This is a hands-on role for skilled machinists capable of performing complete machine setups, editing programs, troubleshooting jobs, and supporting production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Assets
• 5 years machine shop experience
• Strong setup experience on CNC milling machines
• Experience editing and troubleshooting G-code programs
• Mastercam programming knowledge
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
• Strong tooling knowledge
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills

Responsibilities
• Complete full machine setups from start to finish
• Edit and troubleshoot CNC programs
• Optimize tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining processes
• Perform first off inspections and maintain quality standards
• Work closely with machine shop supervisor
• Keep work areas clean and organized
