Job Type: Full-time/Contract
Key Responsibilities
* Construction & Installation: Build foundations, install flooring, erect walls, install doors, windows, cabinets, and molding.
* Blueprint Interpretation: Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine dimensions and requirements.
* Layout & Measurement: Prepare layouts, including selecting materials and calculating angles/cuts, in compliance with building codes.
* Repairs & Maintenance: Repair, renovate, and maintain existing residential or commercial structures.
* Site Safety: Maintain a clean and safe job site, using hand and power tools safely.
* Teamwork & Supervision: Work with other trades, instruct apprentices, and communicate with clients
Requirements
* Experience: Proven experience as a carpenter (typically 3–4 years, or completion of an apprenticeship).
* Skills: Proficiency with carpentry tools (power tools, measuring equipment).
* Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects, climb, and work in varied weather conditions.
* Mathematical Proficiency: Strong math skills for calculating measurements and material needs.
* Certification: Valid, recognized apprenticeship certification or journeyman status (preferred).
* Valid g class drivers licence
* Willingness to travel to job sites
* Basic set of tools required
